Instructions:

Brew espresso. Hot and fresh. If you don’t have an espresso machine, use a French press or moka pot for a strong base.

Mix your mocha base. In a small bowl or cup, combine cocoa powder, sugar, and vanilla with a splash of the hot espresso. Stir until it becomes a smooth chocolate syrup.

Blend it all. Pour the chocolate mixture into a shaker or large glass, add the remaining espresso and cold milk. Stir or shake until combined.

Assemble. Add ice to your favorite glass (a mason jar hits different). Pour your mocha over the ice. Optionally, top with a gentle layer of frothed milk or whipped cream.
